July 13-17, August 3-7: 9am-4pm
Fast! Furious! And fun! This high-energy, all-day camp is just perfect for the kid who wants to know it all. Give us your child for the week and we’ll give them a love for music for life! Our primary goal in this camp is for our little artists to learn to sing with great stage presence! Our young artists sing their choice of pop, rock, music theater and/or country. They also take guitar or keyboarding, songwriting, auditioning tricks for all auditions, ear training, hip hop dancing, and drums. And if that’s not enough already, at the end of the week, our campers will go home with a demo of their work, complete with a full photo shoot on their demo! Parents will be invited to a professional showcase the last day that will completely videotaped and placed on You Tube that night!

ADVANCED YOUNG MUSICIAN’S CRASH COURSE!

If your child has already taken the Young Musician’s Crash Course and loved it, then this class is the next step! This is nothing like the first camp! We get tough and step it up a notch. Still tons of singing, instruments, dancing, and songwriting- this class adds a little more competition, and includes acting and interview skills!!!

July 6-10: 9-12pm
Nothing like this offered anywhere! Proven program! One week in our Guitar Camp and students will be able to play complete songs and perform in a showcase! Artists practice reading charts and notation, chords, tabs, scales, style and stage tricks.

STRIKE A CHORD! KEYBOARD CAMP
June 22-26: 3-6pm
Not the old-fashioned way of learning the piano! Our Keyboard Camp teaches artists chords, scales, style, performance and cool ideas on pop, rock and country. Within one week, singers will be able to play chords for themselves and instrumentalists will have all the basic skills to springboard into more advanced piano!

HIP HOP KIDS CAMP!
June 22-26: 10am-12pm
Our hip hop teachers are so good with kids that we get constant requests to offer our hip hop dance class separate from the Young Musician’s Crash Course- so we did! We focus on stage moves that separate the artist from others! Also perfect for singers who need help loosening up on stage!

YOU GOT THE BEAT! DRUM CAMP!
July 6- 10: 1-4pm
Taught by professional rock drummers!!! Your child will be walking to the beat of a new drum and you won’t be reaching for the aspirin! Artists in our Drum Camp learn basic rhythms, styles of hits and beats, and drum choices. This is also great for singers and instrumentalists to help them with their rhythm and reading music! Plus, young artists can get all their drumming out of their system here, so you won’t have to hear it at home!

IT’S A HIT! SONGWRITING CAMP!
June 22-26: 1-3pm
Taught by award winning songwriters!! You’ll have the CD to prove it! In just one week, aspiring songwriters will write a song, track it, produce it, and have the demo CD to prove it. We’ll even show you how to sell it.. Mom, dad, aunt, uncle, brother, sister, pet, they’ll all think you deserve a Grammy! Limited to five students per session.

ROCK CAMP
July 27-31: 9am-12pm
Playing with a full live band is an incredible experience and learning how to work with live players is an absolute MUST if you plan on having a career in music. In one week you’ll learn how to sing, play, arrange for and direct live instrumental players. And for you instrumentalists, learn how to accompany a singer without running them over, learn about playing with full bands and about reading charts and arranging! Not like the mega camps advertised- this camp is tailored to you! Limited to 10 students. For singers and instrumentalists.

IT’S A HIT! – TEEN SONGWRITING
June 22-26: 10am-12pm
So you want to make a lot of money in the music business? Then you had better get into songwriting and this session is the perfect place to learn the business. Of course you’ll learn how to write a song and get to record it in our studio, but this class goes way past that. You’ll be arranging chords and harmonies, working with co-writers, learning about royalties, splits, copyrights, and about how just one hit song can pay you for a lifetime. Shake what your momma gave you! Our teachers are the best professionals around! They will teach you how to pop and lock to any song! Also perfect for singers who need help loosening up on stage!

STUDIO 101! – DEMOS AND PRODUCTION
July 6-10: 6-9pm, July 27-31: 1-4pm
Be an intelligent musician! In this technology-based session, you’ll spend the entire week in the recording studio recording a demo and learning the basic skills of production so that you won’t get taken advantage of when you’re spending big money on a live instrument/EP quality demo. You’ll learn about mics, laying down tracks, sampling, effects and more! At the end of the week you’ll be an old pro in the studio and you’ll have recorded an amazing demo that you had a hand in producing! Limited to five students. Serious students only!

STUDIO 102! – MIXING, MASTERING AND ADVANCED PRODUCTION
Aug 10-14: 1-4 pm
This session dives further into production. Learn how to record, edit and mix instruments, pitch fixing, mixing, mastering, the basics of creating tracks, looping, and more! Students must have taken Studio 101 (Formerly Record a Hit Demo) or have approval from the teacher. Limited to five students. Serious students only!

STRIKE A CHORD! – TEEN KEYBOARD
Aug 10-14: 9am-12pm
Keyboard is by far the most important instrument for understanding and learning music. Why else would colleges require all music majors to learn it? Start learning now and in this super fun and CONTEMPORARY-oriented format! This is NOT your typical piano class! Students will learn chord structure, scales and style all within popular songs. By the end of the week students will be able to play their favorite songs from the radio!

10 tips to Make Your Voice More Attractive!!

1. Number 1 Rule! RECORD your voice. Listen to it whether you like it or not. Then change it with the following 8 tips.
2. OPEN YOUR MOUTH and put two ping pong balls inside each cheek. Through your laughter, read something for 2 minutes and urgently try to pronounce your consonants while slobbering. Now take the balls out and speak. HUGE DIFF!
3. Are you a mumbler? Put a cork in your mouth and hold it with your teeth while the other end sticks out of the human wine bottle. Speak for two minutes again. This exercise involves a different set of muscles. Take it out and speak. Did you enunciate more? You are working the muscles to the place that they should be. Use Kleenex if necessary to clean the drool.
4. Take all i′s in words such as night, light, etc and change them for the diphthong (double vowel) ah eet or nah eet. That is the correct way to say all singular vowels…R yew steel soundin′ liiiike a hick?
5. Now put three fingers in your mouth and speak. You need this much of an opening in your mouth every time you speak until you get use to using your mouth as a sales tool rather than a mumbling slit. Begin practicing with your significant other until he/she calls you obscene names.
6. Sounding like a child? Too much treble? Not enough roundness to your voice? Raise your larynx (soft palate) by pretending you have a hot potato in your mouth or as if you are about to yawn. This will increase the bass formants and you′ll have much more sex appeal.
7. Verbal Graffiti? Too many uh′s, ums, like′s, well′s, and you know′s? Pain is gain! Every time you use verbal graffiti, have your best friend slap you. You′ll quit.
8. Not enough Inflection? Listen to D. J.′s. They have that great bass voice with up and down frequencies. Practice by reading a children′s story (in front of children) and try really hard to keep their attention by adding appropriate gestures and inflections to the voice. You′re an actor every time you speak. You are selling your voice. Be interesting even if your speech is not. Sometimes being entertaining is better than content. Just ask the music business!
9. The tongue is the rudder of the ship! Do tongue exercises while behind closed doors. Move your tongue to the ″furtherest″ east, west, north, and south and then out of the mouth. Now roll and unroll it. Do this 100 times until your cheeks are fighting back. The stronger the tongue, the more articulate and deep your voice will sound. Plus you have greater speed when sticking your tongue out at someone.
10. Go back to the recorder. Do it again…and again…and again…until you like your voice.
